About Marcel Ostertag
Marcel Ostertag is a prominent German fashion designer, born on July 25, 1979, in Berchtesgaden. He pursued his studies in fashion design at the esteemed Central Saint Martins College in London. In his graduation year, 2004, he was awarded the prize for the best collection. Additionally, Ostertag was offered a place in the college's master's program, which he completed with distinction. During this period, he collaborated with renowned labels such as Burberry and Dunhill on various projects. He also assisted Viennese designer Martina Rogy and co-opened boutiques named 'Rogy & Ostertag' in Munich with her.
In 2006, Ostertag launched his own fashion label named after himself and showcased his collections at Fashion Weeks in London and Beijing. His clear forms and innovative material combinations earned him the coveted Karstadt New Generation Award in 2008. The following year, Karstadt began selling Ostertag's designs in their stores.
In 2013, Ostertag participated in the television show 'Fashion Hero,' which he won, securing a prize of 1.5 million euros. Since then, he has drawn inspiration from the vibrant city of Munich, where he works in his atelier.
Ostertag regularly presents his designs at Berlin Fashion Week, continuing to make a significant impact on the fashion industry.
