CFDA Awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards is one of the most prestigious events in the fashion industry, celebrating the work of American fashion designers. This year's CFDA Awards took place in October 2024 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, gathering top designers, celebrities, and industry icons for an unforgettable evening of recognition and style.

Erykah Badu was honored with the Fashion Icon Award, presented by André 3000. During her acceptance speech, Badu spoke about the empowering nature of clothing and her lifelong passion for fashion. The evening's other significant moments included the Womenswear Designer of the Year award, which went to Rachel Scott of Diotima, who delivered an emotional speech thanking her team and loved ones. The event also featured an afterparty hosted by Coach and Amazon Fashion, giving guests an opportunity to continue celebrating into the night.

As always, the red carpet was a highlight, showcasing bold and striking looks from celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Tyla, among many others. The CFDA Awards continue to spotlight both established and emerging designers, reaffirming their influence on global fashion trends.
