The Weekend brings out Playboi Carti in Sao Paolo Brazil
The Weeknd delivered nothing short of a spectacle at his „One Night Only“ concert this past Saturday at MorumBIS Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. True to his larger-than-life persona, the show featured surprise guest appearances from Anitta and Playboi Carti, an enormous stage backlit by a towering video screen nearly 100 feet tall, and a dazzling array of blinding lights. Fans around the world were treated to a YouTube livestream of the performance, which included the debut of several new songs, likely from his highly anticipated upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.
The concert built on the success of his “After Hours Til Dawn” tour, which took North America by storm in 2022 and later made its way to Europe. This iteration featured an airport runway-style walkway spanning the length of the stadium floor, leading to a massive, temple-like structure at its center. At the far end of the walkway, a glowing cross-shaped stage stood opposite the towering video screen, setting the scene for an unforgettable night of music and theatrics.
